“I just spent a week in the hospital, just got back Friday night and I am mentally and physically recovering. “I don’t normally look great, but I really don’t look great now because I just had this procedure on Monday,” he said on the latest episode of John Lund Unleashed. On his podcast Sunday, Lund revealed that he had been off KNBR for slightly over a week recovering from surgery. He wants to hear that men are taking their health seriously. It has been the cornerstone of 97.5’s lineup for the past decade, a show which helped the station set itself apart. The program, which was put together by Altitude Sports Radio PD Dave Tepper, described itself as ‘not for the faint of heart, the politically correct, or anyone with any sensibilities’. Gow Media gave The Blitz over a decade of support. Given that 97.5 management learned of AJ’s situation on Thursday, the process had yet to begin. With Hoffman leaving, he said The Blitz could continue with a different voice or he could change timeslots. Fred shared positive news, adding that he agreed to stay on board with the radio station for another two and a half years. He hoped they would be happy for AJ, and appreciate the eleven years of entertainment he provided them with. Some radio involvement though may happen in the future.įaour told listeners that he knew the situation was too good for his longtime partner to pass up. AJ said his new job won’t involve hosting a daily radio show. Hoffman’s passion for sports betting and the gold rush that the category has produced was enough to lure the successful drive time host and programmer to Sin City. AJ will soon move to Las Vegas to join Pregame as its Executive Vice President and Director of Digital Content.
